We love using candles and tealights to light outdoor parties, but have learned the hard way that open flames, windy conditions, and large groups of milling guests can have unintended results. These color changing solar lights from Target are the perfect solution to our party-lighting needs. Made of porcelain with a matte white finish, these lights utilize LED technology to give off either a white or color changing light. The lights are weather resistant and provide 6 to 8 hours of illumination when fully charged.
At $18 each, these tabletop lights are more expensive than candles, but well worth it to us for peace of mind. We also think they are a great idea for outdoor parties with children where candles can be especially hazardous. Does anyone have personal experience with these lights, or recommendations for other outdoor table lights that are child-friendly?

Went to the Cupertino Target after work today... they didn't have these :( I picked up a couple different solar lights for my patio though.
