Schemata Studio have designed a striking fiber-optic chandelier, with new thin fiber-optic cable, which they've named Kurage3.

This lamp is the third in a series. The previous lamps had 1.0 mm thick fiber-optic cable. This one has 1.5 mm, making the chandelier brighter.
One of the most intriguing features is that the brightness is controlled by adjusting the curve of the chandelier. If you make the chandelier's fiber-optic cables curve past the critical angle for the 1.5-mm cable, instead of shooting through the tube of glass, the light emitted from an LED light source leaks out. That's how why it dims. It also sports a natural, messy and organic look.
