Some ideas are just so simple, easy and efficient that you can't possibly do any better. There's no use re-inventing the wheel. Tilting your laptop screen down just a bit leaves the perfect amount of ambient light to chill out late at night. So we think, "Why try to do any better with lamps and bulbs?" Apparently, at least one designer agrees...
Laptoplamp by Johannes Brockmeyer debuted at IMM 2009, the annual modern furnishings fair, in Cologne, Germany.
It sheds the familiar ambient glow of a laptop that's been cracked open, but it does so as an over-sized wall sconce. We also have to mention the strange-looking integration of a flood lamp that looks like it's been put through the screen.
What do you think, guys? Are you into this tech-inspired sconce?
