Light Box by Kiki van Eijk

At first glance this made us think of a night light and a little girls jewelry box. Or maybe it was a jack in the box. In any case, we can't help but be intrigued by this lightbox from designer Kiki van Eijk.

When you open up the box, a candelabra pops up and shines the light from what appears as the shadow of the now standing candelabra. Instead of a typical on/ off switch, the act of opening the cover turns on the light. This could make for an interesting alternative to a beside lamp depending on how much light actually comes out of this little box.
