Lighting: What Else Can We Wire Up?

Taryn's shows us how some creative lighting can definitely bring out the ordinary objects into a whole different world.
taryn_wireup1.jpgJust in case you’ve ran out of inanimate, otherwise un-electrical home décor standards to tech-ify, Lite Brite and Light’n Up Neon have some really bright ideas for you…

taryn_wireup2.jpgLight’n Up Neon has some options for those of us who have houses that our friends can never find. Their neon house numbers don’t come cheap at around $600, but it might be a small price to be able to light up your stoop like a hip bar for parties.

They (and a few other companies, do an online search for "neon house numbers") offer a range of colors, sizes, and fonts.

taryn_wireup3.jpgAlso from Light’n Up Neon are these neon flames and flowers they call Neonies® and Argonias® (Made with Neon or Argon gas).

taryn_wireup4.jpgLite Brite, a Brooklyn-based company that does work for clients like Bergdorf's and Stella McCartney, offers these neon versions of home lighting basics. Clockwise from top left: Wall Sconce, Table Lamp, Floor Lamp and Chandelier.

They might be too bright, and definitely too pricey, but we kind of like it.
