Moonstruck Light

2007-07-25moonstruck-light.jpgBoring white walls? These light coverings allow you to create a delicate design in light on your wall.

The Moonstruck Light is a perforated tabletop light fixture that encloses your lightbulb. Available in two designs, flowers or circles, each creates a pattern as light passes through it.

The only downside, they don't appear to be available stateside. They are manufactured by Austrian design company, Feinedinge and are available on their site for 240-320 euro. They also have a new wall sconce version. Let us know in the comments if you have any luck finding a US distributor.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! Bit too pricey though - maybe I'll have to work on punching patterns into tin cans...any ideas for the best tools to use?

Sooo pretty. I agree with Beck that we should figure out the DIY version!

At 240 to 320 euros, I'm not going to look too hard for a distributor!

My grandfather used to punch holes in tin cans by filling them with water and putting them in the freezer. When the water was ice, he'd punch holes in the cans with an ice pick. The ice kept the cans from denting as he punched. (Oh--he also put the cans in a vise to keep it from rolling around. . . .)

My friend once made a beautiful jack-o-lantern by drilling holes with a power drill into a carved-out pumpkin. Maybe a gourd, winter squash, or that old flour/water/salt clay would work, too. I guess paper-mache would just burn up, huh?

I love it!!!! But... I can't order one :( I'm going to DIY this by getting one of those world globes on a stand (Craigs list hunt!), and carefully drilling a flower pattern (using my jewelry drill)

I'll wire it with a lampkit & have a lovly light pattern on my wall and a cool looking globe. Can't wait!
