Nemo LED Chain Lamp

080508_chainlamp_01.jpg If you're tired of your old and cheap lighting fixture, the Nemo LED Chain Lamp may be a good way to spruce that ol' desk of yours; just be ready to throw down $600...

The Nemo LED Chain Lamp was designed by Iliara Marelli for Nemo Italianaluce. 080508_chainlamp_02.jpg It is made from aluminum and holds 3 bright white 1-watt LEDs. The articulating body can fold completely flat to make an accent light when you're not using it to light up your desk. At only 2.75" tall when it's completely closed, the lamp can open up to reach almost 22" in height. When closed, it looks like a high-tech stapler.

All of this supreme Italian elegance and design doesn't come cheap. The MSRP is $595 and the lamp will most likely have a street price of $450. The lamp is available over at CSN Lighting. [via Technabob]

If it also stapled, I would be in.
