We used a flashlight just like this a while ago and found it to be very effective. Rather than having to constantly move your flashlight up and down in order to see where you are going and where you are about to step, the Nightlighter uses a total of 3 LED's to illuminate the area in front of and below you simultaneously. We also found that the oval design was nicely balanced in the hand and we were able to hold it comfortably down by our side due to the multiple light sources. Not bad for those evening dog walks if you happen to live in an area that isn't brightly illuminated by street lights.
