Task Lamp Modeled After Car Suspension

021309_tf_suspensionlamp1.jpgAre you into cars? What better way to show it than with this lamp, which features a model of a car suspension system as the main design element. We never thought that the things you'd find hanging around a mechanic's garage would make a stylish and beautiful lamp, but the photos speak for themselves. He looks right at home next to that minimalist iMac...

021309_tf_suspensionlamp2.jpgThis Suspension Table Light has the whole suspension system as part of its design. A wishbone style arm, complete with an adjustable shock spring arm, forms the main structure for the lamp, while a disc brake rotor becomes the light cover. The base of the lamp is even auto-ed up as a mini rubber tire.

Pick one up here for around $127 for the car and tech lover in your house.

light speed! GET IT?!

As a car guy I'm intrigued, but I think the carbon fiber herman miller chair is a better mix of car and furniture design :)
