When great technological functionality meets amazing design, Unplggd will be there. The Spark Lamp from designer Beverly Ng has a very practical application. It acts as a plant by day, soaking up rays from the sun on its solar paneled side, and as a lamp at night, using that banked energy to power itself through to the morning. The great design comes in how it resembles each of its two-faced functions. When upside-down on your windowsill, it looks like a modern and cheeky plant sculpture. When you flip it over to turn on the LED light source, it becomes a great little variation on the traditional tabletop lamp.
It appears to be in the concept stages right now, but we cannot wait for this to make it to market. We'd be first in line for this chic and sustainable lamp.
