Apple Notebook Logo Running as a Second Screen

That glowing Apple logo that's been a part of Apple's line of notebooks since the late 1990s has become the object of modders' affections. Whether it's using an old iBook and the glimmering logo as a lighting fixture or making the iconic icon glow in a rainbow of colors, DIY Techies have been infatuated with it. No surprise, then, that we have another one for you—and it blows the others out of the water...

Spotted over at Boing Boing gadgets, this modder has turned the logo on the back of his MacBook into a secondary LCD screen that can play iTunes visualations, screensavers and even movies!

But our two favorite ideas for this mod were taken from the comments of the posts at BBGadgets and the source of the mod, MacMod: It either needs to be used to display the feed from the camera on the other side, or it needs to show tiny gnomes operating the gears inside.
