I don't know whether women ever really wanted a new vacuum for Christmas even back in the day (we'd personally want one, but we have a bit of thing for vacuum technology; we've got one upright, one canister and a hand vac), but these days women are just as likely to want the newest and best consumer home technology products as their male counterparts.
