DIY Paper and Clay Amplifying Speakers

unplggd042208speakers.jpgDesigner Yong Jieyu fashioned these audio amplifying speakers out of shredded musical score paper sheets, mixed it in with clay, and shaped them into forms that take advantage of ceramic clay's "sound absorbent coefficiency" properties for passive sound amplification purposes. This might be a great weekend project to try out, since the material costs are so low, and could perhaps be altered to work with Peter's recent how-to instructions.
