Marc Nardangeli's kitchen tech concept foretells a near future where online access is even incorporated into simple tools like the kitchen cutting board. His design concept includes a thin LCD display and circuit board sandwiched between acrylic, all covered safely in tempered glass, so you can cut those shallots and watch your Food Network all at the same time (though we'd worry about being distracted by non-instructional content). Although pretty darn cool in the tech department, one begins to wonder where in the future will we have the option of not having some sort of screen next to us. We're just one step away from having a display on the underside of a toilet lid, aren't we?

I tend to put things on my cutting board so that I can, you know, cut them, which would obscure the view of whatever is on the screen. Cool technology, but entirely unnecessary.

Glass as a cutting board surface is terrible for your knives.

Effing cool, although slightly unpractical. So is it only a TV or could you get web-based recipes on there too?
