Home Tech and Living With the Girlfriend

030409girlfriendshelp.jpgInspired by yesterday's post, How Do I Live With His Tech?, Dave writes in about his experience with getting some help wrangling in his home entertainment setup with the help of his significant other:

I recently moved in with my girlfriend as well and thankfully she helped me organize my "tech" life into something more presentable than a bunch of vinyl and books about Richard Hell. I was willing to adapt and I am now extremely happy with how it all turned out...

Yet another bonus to having an awesome girlfriend. Here is a pic. I am not sure if this would even be helpful but I saw the post and I felt that girls pain, guys can be really illogical and all over the place when it comes to "surround sound".

Looks like we could possibly start a new feature about this topic of adapting a single tech life with one of a more presentable couple's living situation. Feel free to send in your story about living together and home technology (we'd love to see the reverse situation or a same sex relationship situation) to Unplggd with photos and a description of how your setup changed...or hasn't.

It's organized. It's not pretty though.

Compared to plywood and concrete blocks its beautiful.

Everyone's tastes are different; for instance I'd work on decluttering the area (moving the books somewhere else if possible and having fewer things next to the TV). But if it suits you and you're happy with it...embrace it.
