Look! Aeron Chair Designer's Los Angeles Studio

Is there any more of an iconic chair connected to the age of the internet than the Aeron Chair made by Herman Miller? We think not. Although now as common as Eames shell chairs back in the day, the Aeron remains a technical achievement for keeping those of us who make a living sitting behind a monitor all day in good ergonomic position. Though the chair is rightfully famous, its designer Don Chadwick remains quietly under the radar. The folks over at Contemporist recently highlighted Chadwick's beautiful 1,800 square foot Brentwood hillside studio, showcasing the creative space in which the furniture and product designer is undoubtedly working on his next iconic creation...

The architecture team of Frederick Fisher and Partners' description:

"The main programmatic elements of the building include a shop that will hold tools and accommodate product mock-ups, an open studio space that will feature a conference area and a floor-to-ceiling, double-sided bookshelf, and a private office for Mr. Chadwick, located on a mezzanine. Additional rooms include a kitchen and bathroom."

We're in love with the sizable T-shape bookcase, all the miniature model chairs strewn throughout the studio and the work area with the skylight partnered with overhead lighting, perfect for computer display use. See even more photos and details over at Contemporist.
