Look! Heineken Store's Sleek Interior Design

081308_sz_heineken.jpg Now we always thought the design aesthetic of beer was neon signs, beach babes, and potato chips. Heineken has just proven us wrong...

081308_sz_heinekenstore.jpg The Amsterdam store was designed by Tjep, a Dutch design firm, who dreamt up the interiors for a series of six(!) buildings. The visual idea was to create a space that evoked the sense of pouring yourself a glass of extra cold Heineken. 081308_sz_heinekenstore2.jpg The entire store is lit by LED based lighting (the first commercial space in Europe to be entirely LED). The floors are made of a new material which features an abstract graphic representation of ice cracks and a large watermark. Throughout the buildings there are speaking mirrors and 3D TV screens!
