Hitachi has just announced its line of ultrathin (33mm to be exact) LCD screens, called the Wooo UT series. They'll start rolling them out in the next few months in Japan, and will cost $2000-3800.

Adding to the slim factor, the TVs also have all the DVR capablities crammed into that tiny package. You'll still need a separate media box, but it could mean less bulk cluttering your media center.
