Personally, I think that distinctive case modifications are great when they are well done. I mean, you can have a bazillion LEDs on there and it might still look bad. My own rig has a no-nonsense aluminum Lan-Li case. When I saw this case, I first wondered what I was looking at. Basically, it looks like the Wall-E from the popular animated movie of the same name. I then realized that it was actually a computer case.
Apparently, this case mod took the Russian modder about 18 days to complete. He used a lot of sheet metal and worked really well to get this case together. You can check out the complete pics here. Since the story was picked up by Digg, the Russian's site has completely crashed. Thankfully, EnglishRussia has a lot of pictures and it is still up.
Dozens of pictures detail the intricate building process. It's simply amazing to see. These are the types of mods that people would actually pay to get. I like how the PC is completely hidden from view. When people look on his desk and see this little Wall-E replica, I doubt that they'd think that it was actually a PC. Too bad it's a PC and not a Mac. When he boot's up, he won't make that Wall-e/OS X "chong"...
