Apparently trying to recapture an era and "tap the nostalgia of when PCs were just starting to change our lives," Microsoft is launching a clothing line. Yes, you read that right. The line, called Software (clever, amirite?), looks like a bunch of Urban Outfitter knock-off knock offs made only slightly more legit by the fact that they are actually manufactured by the computing giant itself. That, and apparently rapper Common has had a hand in designing the graphics. Yes, you read that right, too. Apparently Jerry Seinfeld wasn't available...

Ok, we get that this site has a huge pro-Apple bias, seeing that almost all of the postings have either some Apple product in the photo or is about some Apple product, but this was just needless Microsoft bashing of a pretty clever idea. If it's not your style, then dont buy it, but calling it things like "...looks like a bunch of Urban Outfitter knock-off knock offs...", just seems petty.
Would you feel the same way if these were Apple-related shirts?

I like Microsoft more than the average person on this site probably does. And I enjoy that 'hipster' vibe.
But, these shirts are so cliche they aren't even ironic. Things like this are the reason Microsoft doesn't have a good rep. They try SO HARD to follow the trends rather than start new ones.

some more careful reading would help this post, that's actually not what the quote says:
The line-up is partially designed by rapper Common, because of course every clothing line needs a trendy celebrity endorsement, and will apparently help "showcase the DOS days of the software company that now connects over a billion people."
i'd get one, as long as they're american apparel shirts (shirt snob).

@ PartMeant:
I understand how you could interpret my post as a pro-Apple PC bash fest, but I assure you that I am an equal opportunity smart ass and would take a stab at Apple if it did the same thing.
All I saw was a computer software company trying to enlist the help of a rap artist to sell vintage-looking t-shirts. Sounds like they want to be picked on to me.
