Nest Box with IR Camera Lets You Be a Peeping Tom

051209nestbox01.jpgWe're in a bit of a dilemma here, as a pair of pigeons have taken to nesting within an opening inside our apartment building. The last time we called the management, despite asking them to wait, the workmen likely sealed in the nest which left us with a horrible feeling despite knowing something had to be done about the bird infestation. So they're back (maybe pigeons that previously were hatched here) and now we're just waiting for the chick(s) to grow up and fly away before calling our apartment manager again. We wish we had something like this bird nest box with wireless infrared camera to keep an eye on their progress...

The Nest Box wireless infrared camera is able to transmit both image and sound (4 channels for some tweeting surround sound) and operates at a range up to 100m/328ft with 368,000 pixels of bird watching resolution, all powered by either a battery or plug-in socket. It's sort of like watching Big Brother or one of those ridiculous reality shows, but with better content and educational value. Available here.
