RKNL's Offce Desktop Reminds Us of Another Desktop

040109bureaudesk-rknl.jpgDesks that integrates a computer into its design? Or computers that compliment your computer of choice? Sure! But how about a desk workspace that practically looks like an oversized offspring of Mac mini and Sonos music system?

040109bureaudesk-rknl3.jpgOur friend Manuel over at Le Blog Deco noted his envious affinity for Dutch design agency RKNL's pristine white office, but we couldn't help note all the design cues that the desk seems to share with offerings from Apple and Sonos. We're going to see if we can discover more information about the desk from RKNL, though their site seems hobbling along with a lot of missing images/links at the moment.

"Hey, someone's been biting my style, yo!"

yay!

Yet another Apple-laden office post.

Does anyone in the Unplugged universe actually have an office that doesnt have a Macbook or iMac on the desk?

No. We (they) don't. I'm sure that's not the answer you wanted.

Look, it's just stuff. It's not some kind of commentary on your value as a person. For whatever reason advertisers use a lot of Macs in their ads. I'm sure a Sony or Asus would look just as nice on this desk. However that's not what the vendor chose to put in the picture. Don't blame AT for that.

PartMeant: We'd seriously love to highlight some stylish home decor friendly PC setups...if you've got any good leads or friends/acquaintances with home offices with PC-centric setups, we'd definitely consider it to highlight. But it's not an inherent bias against PCs that lessens the amount of design-centric setups being profiled here on Unplggd. Macs just tend to be the choice amongst designers and aesthetes, for better or worse.
