apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Tech Laden Hard Rock Suites by Chemical Spaces

We shouldn't be surprised from a city where the word "subtle" has been stricken out of the dictionary. But there's something deliciously decadent about these rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. They're so completely and utterly Las Vegas, complete with an overflow of LED lighting, in-your-face graphics and plenty of reminders what happens in the city should remain there.

Hard Rock Las Vegas offers well-heeled guests a choice of rooms designed by Las Vegas design firm Chemical Spaces: the white and blue MIAMI BLUE SUITE, the beauty and the beast urban jungle themed GORILLA SUITE, the London underground graphics of the PUNK ROCK SUITE, the tree house glam of the TREE LINE SUITE. Each comes equipped with (multiple) 42" plasma panels displays, high speed internet access via TV or wireless, mood LED lighting, and Bose CD stereo iPod dock sound systems to fuel the party with your hand picked beats.

Hmm, Morrissey is playing the Hard Rock in a few days, and it would be appropriate to stay in a London themed room. Unfortunately $319 is out of our price range; we're more roadies than rock stars, so we'll just have to settle for some Moz records and some string LED lights in our own apartment for now.

I do wonder who finds it appealing to sleep in what appears to be the inside of a giant iPod.
