XYZ Computer Desk Incorporates PC Into Desk

052308xyzdesk.jpgAs much as I love my computer, I've always wanted to hide it away as much as possible (mostly for space), and always admired the future tech showcased in movies where computers are invisibly incorporated into furnishings (think The 5th Element). The XYZ Computer Desk has that same idea in mind, hiding and incorporating all the components and cable management into the desk's form factor...

We enjoy the design of the Apple computer range, though on a functional level, PC is preferred. So we designed a desk/computer as beautiful as a Mac but easily upgradeable like a PC. All computer components and cable management is contained within the thickness of the desk, and when upgrading is required, the desk lid simply flips open. CDRW/DVD, USB and Hot Keys are located on the side of the desk.

The XYZ Computer Desk remains a concept only, but we're wondering how easy/hard this would be to create ourselves using a flip open desk, a Mac Mini or Asus EBox, and some PC fans for ventilation in the back of the desk.

If Apple made this, yes. Anyone else, no. Sorry. Something is off with the dimensions of the desk, I assume that's just a photoshop of an idea, but still. The monitor is too small, too far away and too low and the cd drawer (slot loading would be better) is too large in comparison. Presumably a keyboard is also under the hood, but what would that look like when it's up and why wouldn't all the cd slots, and other components attach under there. I'm confused.
