AppleTV: New 2.1 Firmware Adds iPhone Remote App Support, MobileMe

appletv_21_update.jpgOh, how it all comes together. I have had my doubts about AppleTV at first, but it looks like Jobs and the gang hasn't ignored the product at all. Now that the iPhone can communicate with it through the downloadable Remote App... I can't wait see what's next in store. The HiFi? Perhaps even turning it into a gaming system?! Yeah, we're optimistic.

Is this the reason that Apple won't release the SDK to Sling Media so they can make Slingbox compatible with iPhone?
