According to the Wall Street Journal, approximately 14 million faulty mobile phone chargers will be affected during this large scale recall. Apparently all of the phone chargers being recalled are manufactured by a single third-party supplier from China, Huizhou BYD Electronics. So, if any of you are curious to who's paying for all these damages, that would be them.

Nokia chargers of the type AC-3E, AC-3U (manufactured between June 15, 2009 and August 9, 2009) and AC-4U (manufactured between April 13, 2009 and October 25, 2009) are the ones affected by this recall. The exchange will be free of charge and can be requested from Nokia's Exchange website over here.

So really, please don't hold onto one of these self-tasing units unless you have to. For goodness sakes, it's free, people.
