Yes, you read that right. Apple co-founder Wozniak will be joining the US cast of Dancing with the Stars this upcoming season. In other news, annoyed mothers everywhere are ecstatic today to see a famous—maybe the most famous—computer geek get out of the house, away from the computer and into a dance studio to take up such an urbane (and screen-less) hobby as ballroom dancing.
The news comes to us just as we were about to wonder if The Woz really counts as a "star." Although, considering some of the other "celebrities," we'd probably say he's the most successful and definitely has been in the public eye the longest: The roster includes folk signer Jewel, 80s pop singer Belinda Carlisle, rapper Lil' Kim, 17-year-old Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson, star of MTV's Jackass Steve-O and professional hottie Denise Richards.
The new season of Dancing with the Stars will start March 9th on ABC. Check out the show's Web page here.
