
The details for this are a little sketchy, but Gizmodo has confirmed that you can take in your old HD-DVD player into Circuit City and receive credit for purchasing a new Blu-Ray machine. It's not clear how this works exactly, but if you've purchased a DVD player from Circuit City in the last few months, take notice.
Did you end up on the wrong side of the high-definition DVD war? If you bought your player at Circuit City, then it appears that you can return the player to the store and exchange it for a Blu-Ray player. You'll have to pay the difference in price, but you won't be stuck with a dead end device.
