News: iTunes introduces "Complete My Album" feature

2007-04-01-robbie.jpgNot ready to commit? If you have ever questioned buying a single on iTunes and wondered what happens later if you actually like it and want the entire album, this feature is for you. In the past, you would just have to write off that 99-cent purchase and buy the entire album, no questions asked.

Now, Apple is encouraging you to buy the whole album by offering credit for any of the individual songs you have already purchased. So, if you download that latest one-hit-wonder, you'll have six months to buy the rest of the album, if you so desire. Apple will discount the cost of the original song(s) from the album cost.

Have some albums you'd like to finish out now? For a limited time, they are letting you complete any unfinished album you own. But it's unclear how long that is going to last.
