One step closer to getting rid of our cable. Joost, from the makers of Kazaa and Skype, is an online TV and video distribution site. They've just brought Viacom onboard as a partner, which ensures that they will have a plethora of shows available. Viacom brings with it MTV and Paramount Pictures, as well as many other cable channels.
Joost is still in beta testing, so it's not clear how exactly it will operate. However, it seems that it will become a viable alternative to traditional television.
