Mac rumors...every good Mac owner knows to pay attention to them. Especially when you're thinking about upgrading, as there's nothing worse than buying a shiny, new computer just to see it overshadowed by a newer model the next week. We also take them with a grain of salt, as Mac lovers tend to be a bit overzealous with their predictions.

Rumors of a new iMac, however, made us take notice. And it appears that all the reliable outlets, Think Secret and Apple Insider, are in sync. They predict a new iMac in stores before the mad, back to school rush.

So, what's the scoop? We're looking at the end of July to August 7th as launch dates. They'll come in 20" and 24" varieties and the casing will reportedly be brushed metal, ala the style of MacBook Pros. Also predicted, a new version of iLife to be released around the same time.
