The Home Depot is offering up a gift to everyone this holiday season: Bring your used or broken incandescent light strings to any one of their stores to be recycled and receive a $3 towards the purchase of energy-efficient LED light strings!
In case you forgot, LED light strings use up to 80 percent less energy than the incandescent decorations you've got at home and they last almost 10 times longer.
This offer is a great opportunity to go green, save cash and save your old strings from heading to a landfill! Could you ask for anything more this Christmas?
The offer runs now through November 15th, so hurry on and get your bulbs in there!

my favorite part of this offer is that the old lights don't even have to work! If you're going to need new ones anyway why not bring in the busted up old ones?
