That's One Home Office We'd Love to See

041309_tf_jobsgates1.jpgWhen Steve Jobs is not creepily chuckling at iPhone owners or being dead, he's the CEO of Apple, arguably the most sacred brand name for aesthetic-conscious techies. But amidst concerns that his health was wavering (Jobs is a cancer survivor), Jobs has recently taken a leave of absence from the company—or so we thought. Turns out he's actually like several of us: He's working from home!

The Wall Street Journal gave an update on Jobs' role at Apple during his leave of absence and gave the home-office obsessed among us a little thought porn (Oh, we'd love to get a peek in that home office!):

Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook runs the day-to-day operations at Apple, these people say. But Mr. Jobs has continued to work on the company's most important strategies and products from home, they say. He regularly reviews products and product plans, and was particularly involved in the user interface of the new iPhone operating system that Apple unveiled last month, these people say.

Well, these people say that's pretty cool. How many of you, like Jobs, work from home?

And just for good measure, here's a link to what Jobs' home office used to look lie back in 1982, courtesy of photographer Diana Walker. Pretty much bare bones on a wood floor, huh?
