I have 2 queries for you:

1. Is it really practical to cut the land line phone in favor of only having a cell phone? I have both and would love to save some buckage. What are the drawbacks? It seems like the yellow pages problem might be an issue. Are there cell phone number search engines - or is it too premature?

2. Is there a practical way I can scan a file cabinet worth of documents into digital files? I taught for many years and would love to archive a bunch of stuff and save some space and make moving easier. I have a Gateway XP laptop and an epson flatbed scanner (circa 2003ish).

Thanks!

I have a client that only has a cell phone (no land line). When the painter, who doesn't have a cell phone, was in his apt. painting there was no way to reach her.

I vote for both cell and land line.
