The PS3 is getting Netflix in November. It's actually been over a year since Netflix has been available for Xbox 360 owners. Netflix is great, but what about getting streaming TV? In the UK, Sky TV has started streaming already on Xbox 360 consoles. It also comes with on-demand video. The interface is supposed to be quite speedy and navigation is pretty intuitive using the controller. There is no HD streaming available yet.

For now, there are about 400 movies available on-demand. They all start to play within a few seconds. You can socialize with your friends through the virtual sofa, in which you can use the headset to talk about the shows your are watching together. Sounds kind of interesting. The service costs about $24 a month and is streamed through a broadband internet connection. Each Sky Player subscription allows you to attach 4 PCs, as well as one Xbox console. These devices don't have to be in the same household.

This is somewhat different than Netflix and we are wondering if something like this will appear soon on Xbox Live. This November, Netflix will also be available for PS3 owners. Will Microsoft come up with streaming TV on their consoles? This would be huge, especially if they include sports.
