"A Pretty Nice Place." That's how Hawthorne Stereo describes itself and it has been pleasing customers since 1946. This local Seattle store is raved about by audiophiles and newbies alike.
Whether you are interested in a brand new hi-fi or a slightly used one, this is the place to stop. And if you're not in the Seattle area, their website is full of useful information including a breakdown of their new systems, advice, or a listing of their current "Used" inventory.
If you want vintage audio, but don't know where to start this is a great place to check out. Plus, they ship worldwide, so you can get that special vintage component you've had your eye on if they have it in their current inventory.

Just looking at this site inspired me to keep my ancient 70's marantz receiver. Right now it looks fantastic and works, but could do with a once over - anyone know of a similar store in the Bay Area that repairs old stereo equipment ?
