With pretty much any electronic gizmo you could need or want at what looks to be pretty good pricing, it seems that they are spot on. In particular, the hot deals section is probably worth a regular look, as a different product is offered at a reduced price every day.
Taking the typical e-store customer comments section to an entierly different level, customer video product reviews are posted on the site. So if hearing someone describe a product you are interested in is more useful to you than just reading about it, buy.com has you covered.
This new blog is really turning out to be a disappointment. Buy.com? Who hasn't heard of them? Unfortunately, despite their name recognition they are one of the worst sites to buy from. See: http://www.resellerratings.com/topstores.pl . Their customer service is terrible (consists of illiterate non-native English-speaking robots who can only follow computer prompts). Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

If you want to talk about gadget sites, how about newegg.com, or some of the more esoteric importers where you can get cool stuff from Asia that isn't normally sold.

I wonder if it's more of a situation where people only take the time to post when they have a problem. I've had dozens of transactions with them and have never had any type of issue whatsoever.
Evan - that would be true if all the stores that were listed had poor scores. But as you can see many stores have stellar ratings, such as NewEgg.
Consider yourself lucky with buy.com so far. It is only once you get screwed over by a company that you realize what a bad experience online shopping can be.
