The Radar: One Stop Vintage Design Shopping

021209 design_radar.jpgI am always on the lookout for unique furniture. So much so that there have been multiple occasions where I find myself cutting out of work in the middle of the day and racing to the house of a craigslister in order to beat out the 10 other people that emailed asking if the piece was still available. While this tends to be the case for cheap deals on craigslist, sometimes you are looking for a very specific piece and are willing to pay good money for it. Design Addict has just launched a new service that puts vintage design stores and auction houses in one place called the Radar.

021209 product_detail.jpgThe difference between the Radar and craigslist or ebay is that each listing is reviewed by a Design Addict expert before being published online. Also, the focus is on 20th century design and 20th century design only. No having to worry about whether the item you are looking at is a knockoff or not. Search by country, to find items closer to you or pick a specific designer or product category, just don't expect any bargain basement prices here. This is high design made easier to find.

Check it out here.
