Computer Desk Organizer

Simple gadget storage. Ikeahacker spotted this computer desk organizer made of an IKEA Fira mini chest. The hacker removed the upper drawers and drilled a hole for his cables. With minimal effort (and cost), all of his computer-related equipment is elevated from the desk.

We might have just drilled holes the size of our cables, and put it in a less conspicuous place. However, it's a great idea and the compartments allows for lots of hidden gadgets. The Fira is available at Ikea for $12.99.

I would do it differently. Just put them IN the bottom drawers and drill a hole in the back for the cables. That way it's out of sight, but still easily accesable for instance for a reset.

The left thing on top (which is probably a wireless router I would do in thea top drawer. Drill holes in the back and 2 on top for the antenna's. Even cleaner look. You can also bundle all the cables on the inside and have one bigger whole coming out of cables.
