All you have to do is start by hanging the picture from the single hook at the bottom of the tool and lift it up to the wall. Once it is positioned where you want it you take the picture off but leave the tool pressed against the wall. Pressing a metal pin on the back of the tool leaves a small mark on the wall. Put your nail or screw at that mark and you are all set. Simple and easy.
