Do you ever go to the grocery store thinking that you will remember everything you need and that putting a list together beforehand is a waste of time? Then once you get to the grocery store you find yourself wandering the aisles trying to remember if you still had ketchup or eggs? Do you wish that you had something at home that would automatically keeps track of things as you finished them and then dynamically create a grocery list that you can print for your next shopping trip? The iKan is that device.

If you can remember to scan the barcode, surely you can just as easily remember to write the item on your shopping list (which takes up only a teeny space compared to this).
Of course, this might appeal to gadget lovers like my Significant Other. His idea of "put it on the list" is to set the empty package on top of the list!

For someone that eats mostly produce, this just wouldn't work. I also don't eat the exact same thing week after week. Seriously. How hard is it to write it down. Just keep a running tab stuck on the fridge.
