Look! TV Easel

2008_02_13-tv-easel.jpgWe really like this concept for a TV stand. With adjustments for both height and angle, the fact that it mimics a painters easel makes us think that this would actually help blend a larger TV into a room rather than make it a focal point.

The integrated wheels are a nice touch as well. If you have a smaller space you can wheel the TV out for proper viewing and then tuck it away when you aren't watching it. Now this concept just has to turn into reality.

*We just realized that Ryan and I both posted this just around the same time, so we're appending this post with the additional information [Gregory]:

unplggd0213stafflisq.jpgWe often use our HD display to showcase photography and artwork as a slideshow. Why not display the set itself like a work of art, like shown here from the Greenhouse young designers showcase, part of the Stockholm Furniture Fair?

Like the idea? For now you'll have to go the DIY route because this is just a prototype concept developed by Axel Bjurstrom for home electronics brand Panasonic.

With the form of a traditional painter’s easel, the freestanding TV-rack on wheels is prefect for the open spaces often found in modern apartments. It is optimized for TV-sizes between 32-47” and it is adjustable in both height and angle. Material is solid wood, natural or lacquered.
