I love Rock Band, despite having only played it for a couple hours. What keeps me from going out and buying it for my own? The space it requires to store all the instruments! Here are a few options for those trying to figure out what to do (or what they would do) with all those instruments.

We've blogged before about the storage ottoman shown here, complete with drum lift. But if you've already got enough furniture, read on.
The first photo above shows an elegant solution by Flickr User Nikimaki who looks to have used some standard guitar mounts, available for around $10 at stores such as Musicians Friend, to create a nice looking setup.

If you have the floor space however, Musician's Friend also sells this triple Guitar Stand for around $20 that looks pretty nice (A single guitar stand is available for $7.99).

And finally, if you're a DIY'er, you could make your own PVC solution like Flickr User Revjim5000, below:

I've been using a guitar stand for my Guitar Hero axes for about a year now. Looks way better than tossing them on a chair.
Plus I got my wife to let me keep a little tube guitar amp in the living room, which really adds to the effect.

i have mine leaning in the corner near the fireplace which looks really good. I would love to display them on the wall, but not in the living room.
My main guitar has the blue I am 8-bit guitar strap from couch straps, and then i have custom painted the guitar to go with it. Looks beautiful

Instructables has a DIY guitar wall hangar. http://www.instructables.com/id/Guitar-wall-hanger/ Cheap, which is great if you've managed to accumulate three or four guitars :/
The drum kit is a bigger issue. We have a closet under the stairs I've shoved it to the back of. Still, my husband complains every time he has to pull it out (maybe once a month when we get 'the band' together). Until I cleared room for it there, it basically lived in the middle of our living room though.
