Packard Bell Announces Multitouch Computer Monitor

packard-bell-viseo-sz-09140.jpg Touch screen technology has become the hot add-on for all things tech. From cell phones to digital music players to ATM machines, it's like companies can't get enough of your finger smudges on their screens. The next product to get the touchover is the computer monitor. Device Magazine reports that Packard Bell has announced a 20-inch monitor with multitouch technology so you can do all the things your used to doing on your iPhone -- swiping, pinching, etc. -- but on your computer screen. Is this the kind of innovation you're looking for in your computer monitor?

The screen will be available in the UK in October for $330.

I'm shocked too. That brand was synonymous with trash in the 90's.

I think this is going to end up causing a lot more trouble than it's worth with neck and shoulder pain. So much fun to play with, but never, ever would I want to have to reach up and touch the screen for all the things I would normally do with a mouse.
