Noise Cancelling Glass

2007_05_03 nc-window.jpgWe can see this being very useful in the city, especially when your small space constantly has you located near the window. The way the noise cancelling works is through the use of piezoelectric patches. These patches basically cause the window to vibrate in a way that counteracts the noise attempting to come through the window. Don't worry, if these windows do make it to market, the piezo patches will be transparent and we are assuming the visible dots in the picture will be a non issue as well. In the mean time it will be ear plugs and our cd of the wind blowing through the trees.

I was so excited until I saw "if these windows do make it to market".

I actually think it would be cool if they left the spots, but made them more attractive and not so much like a poor job of patching holes in drywall.
