Simple Human Sensor Pump

2007_05_04 sensor-soap.jpg

There is just something about having a sensor perform tasks that you could easily do yourself. In this case it is pressing the pump on a soap dispenser. Call us lazy, but the Simple Human Sensor Soap Pump just makes washing your hands that much more interesting.

After placing your hand under the nozzle and receiving a nice drop of soap, the red LED flashes for 20 seconds as a reminder of how long you should lather your hands to ensure a good cleaning.

Available here for $39.99.

Actually, and I'm not usually a germophobe, but automatic faucets and soap dispensers make a lot of sense to me.

Likewise, Anne. I totally agree...
Got the technology, why not use it? I always seem to use papertowels (or my foot in limited situations-- gymnastics has helped me with that one!) to maneuver around a public loo. I have witnessed one too many people *not* wash their hands on their way out the door! It's the ewww factor for me -- I hate to touch *anything* in that public space!!!

It makes sense to put one in the kitchen to prevent cross contamination when handling raw meats and eggs and whatnot.

I owned one 2 years ago from sharper image and I loved it. Unfortunately, It didn't love me. One morning I woke up and soap was every where. I miss it so much but it was returned. :(
