apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

We like to bike to and from our destinations, even in the bitter cold. Zipped up in our long, puffy Brooklyn Industries jacket, a scarf wrapped around our heads, and some thick gloves on and we're ready to go. We also like to listen to This American Life or Notorious B.I.G. while pedaling away. Problems arise when we want to make a quick selection or rewind to something we missed while we're waiting at a red light. Since our iPod is touch sensitive, it won't accept any groping from our gloved hands. To make changes to our tunage requires us to take our gloves off. We always end up with a line of cars beeping behind us as we frantically try to get our gloves back on and our iPod tucked back into the safety of our chest pocket.

Our holiday wish list now includes a pair of iPod friendly gloves, but our choices are surprisingly vast. There's the $10 Dots Gloves, but we're not sure how toasty these fibrous mitts would keep our hands in the -10 windchill.
