The biUbe Pure is composed of a 9 gallons acrylic aquarium with a built-in filtration, making this a good option for small space dwellers who want to avoid the maintenance hassle of a full size system (though not as stylish as their Biorb Life aquarium) and/or don't have the space for a full size setup. We grew up tending a 40 gallon system and although our aquarium was a joy to keep, it was a lot of work and we couldn't imagine keeping it now that we live in a small second story apartment.
The "slimline Intelligent LED Light" switches from preset lighting sequences that include "natural gradual sunrise, sunset and blue moonlight", making it a decorative mood lighting system too. For those of you who like sea life instead of freshwater fish, the aquarium can also can be converted for marine life using a conversion kit and tropical heater pack. I have some hardcore aquarium fans who don't like the biOrb. It's too vertical, and fish tend to swim horizontally. They sure do look nice though.
