There's a new trend going on in Europe, and we, at least, weren't aware of. Some recent Italian houseguests had all of their gadgets covered in what appeared to be mini versions of the standard sock. We'd seen plenty of phone cases and iPod covers, but never had we seen the cell phone sock.
Apparently, they are quite easy to find in Europe and our friends were shocked by our fascination with their strange phone holder. We had a why didn't I think of that moment. Why didn't I think to cut off strange socks, stitch them up, and sell them as gadget protectors? But, alas, a quick internet search turns up that these are indeed available in the US.

Sanna, does the sock buffer the phone from being bumped in one's purse, so that it doesn't change settings on its own? (If so, I'm tempted...)
