Phillips Glossy Landline

2007_04_16 phillips phone.jpgIt is nice to see attention to style for the venerable landline phone. While so many of the current cordless phones available consist of multiple antennas to achieve good voice quality and range, Phillips has raised the bar on this with what they call XHD sound technology, all without any sign of an external antenna.

Black gloss, white backlit inverse display and recently announced at CES, only time will tell if form has found function in this new handset.

Planned for availability in the second half of 2007 for $179.99

Landline? Most of the people I know under 35 don't have a landline.

I really like the style of the V-tech 5.8 Ghz cordless phone. and what i like even more is that you can expand the handsets buying additional (with smaller base) pieces and you can locate them whereever a power outlet is located. No need for a phone jack!
Great performance and range. I can even go to the parking lot and still works and the wireless netwotk of my wifi doesn't affect it (nor the microwave. You can even add your own picture ID on the full color screen using a USB cable (supplied). Great product!

I'm so glad I still have a landline. I like the security of it. I even have a plain old wired phone to use in case the power goes down.
